Ushi is an award winning designer and poet. She has spent more than 10 years working with emerging brands to bring their ideas to market. Ushi co-founded Hot Mango Pickle, an Indo-American lifestyle and product design company. After a successful exit, Ushi went on to help small business owners, many of whom were artisans and craftsman, build brands from their passions and talents. From her experience as an artist and entrepreneur Ushi saw a commonality – people chose to have “day jobs” because they didn’t know how to sustain themselves by doing what they loved. Intrigued, Ushi co-founded BoominGroup, a business development company. At BoominGroup, Ushi has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs develop their brands, create value and generate revenues in a way that is genuine, beautiful and strategic. Ushi is the author of Brave the Unknown (Skywriter Books), her debut collection of poetry and winner of the Benjamin Franklin Award. She is a graduate of RIT’s College of Imaging Arts and Sciences with an MBA from their College of Business, where she was also an All-American volleyball player and NCAA record holder.
